Workshop on International Child Abduction in Collaboration with GlobalARRK
In collaboration with the nonprofit organization Global Arrk, our office was pleased to host an informational seminar and workshop on June 8, 2026, an informational seminar-workshop on the defenses of the “abducting” parent under the 1980 Hague Convention on Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. The seminar was aimed at parents—primarily mothers—who remain “stuck” (“Stuck Parents”) due to the Convention in jurisdictions that are alleged to be the country of habitual residence of their children or are generally facing legal proceedings for the return of the children to the country from which they attempted to “escape.”
Our firm is a partner of the above organization, which aims, inter alia, to raise awareness within legal systems regarding the issues faced by these “stuck” families, especially in cases where the “abduction” is a result of domestic violence and abuse.
