LGBTQI+ RIGHTS
We stand together with LBGTIQ+ individuals and rainbow families.
We provide specialised legal support on matters concerning LGBTQI+ rights, including marriage and civil partnerships, adoption and recognition of parenthood, legal gender recognition through applications to amend birth records, as well as protection against discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and sex characteristics. Our aim is to effectively safeguard the rights of every client, with respect for their individuality and in accordance with the applicable national and European legal framework.
In particular, Elias Yiannatsis is a volunteer member of the legal team of NELFA (Network of European LGBTIQ* Families Associations), which played a decisive role in the adoption of the legislation establishing marriage equality in Greece, and serves as legal counsel to the non-profit organisation “Proud Parents” (Υπερήφανοι Γονείς).
In addition to his voluntary work, he has represented Greek nationals residing abroad who have formed families with their same-sex partners in other countries but whose family relationships were not recognised by the Greek State.

Adoption and parenthood matters.
We support LGBTQI+ couples and individuals in adoption proceedings and in matters concerning the recognition of parenthood more broadly. Our law firm also provides legal services to Greek LGBTQI+ individuals who are in the process of starting a family, whether through adoption or medically assisted reproduction in Greece or abroad.
Legal gender recognition.
We provide legal representation for transgender individuals in judicial and administrative proceedings for the legal recognition of their gender identity, including applications to amend birth records.
